Images in Comp Reports

Why some comp images don't appear in reports, and how to control which image is used.

Comp reports pull a single image per comp. Which image appears depends on whether the comp uses a space and which image is flagged as the main image at that level. Most cases of a missing or unexpected image come down to the image being uploaded at the wrong level, or not being flagged as the main image.

How Dealius Chooses the Image

Comp setup Image used in the report
Comp uses a space, and that space has its own image The space's main image
Comp uses a space, but the space has no image Falls back to the main property image
Comp uses the main property only (no space) The main property image
Neither the space nor the property has an image A placeholder is shown

This is why an image can be visible on the Property Profile but still not appear in a comp report — if the comp is tied to a space and that space has its own image, the space image takes priority.

Making Sure the Right Image Appears

For a comp that uses a space:

  1. Open the Property Profile and go to the Gallery tab.
  2. Locate the folder for the relevant space.
  3. Upload the image to that space folder, or click the eye icon on an existing image to set it as the main image for that space.
  4. The image is reflected on the Space Info screen and will be used in comp reports for any comp tied to that space.

For a comp that uses the main property:

  1. Open the Property Profile and go to the Gallery tab.
  2. Upload the image to the Main Property folder.
  3. Click the eye icon on the image you want used to flag it as the main photo.

Uploading multiple images to a folder does not put them all in the report — only the image flagged as main is used.

Controlling Image Size in the Report

The Generate Comp Report popup includes an Image Size setting with three options: Small, Medium, and Large. This controls how large the image renders in the generated report, the same way the title size setting works.

If an image looks cropped or poorly proportioned in the report, adjusting this setting often resolves it. Images with unusual aspect ratios (very wide or very tall) render best at Medium or Large.

Supported Formats

Images must be uploaded in PNG, JPG, or BMP format. Files in other formats will not upload and therefore will not appear in reports.

NDA and Confidential Comps

Images are subject to the same visibility rules as the rest of the comp data:

  • NDA comps — Report output is restricted to property/space address, comp source, and the Confidential and NDA flags only, regardless of the current user's permissions. Images are excluded.
  • Confidential comps — If the Property & Space Information section is hidden from you under Confidential Visibility settings, the image will not appear in your generated report.

Troubleshooting Checklist

If an image isn't appearing:

  1. Is the comp tied to a space? If so, check the space folder in the Gallery — not the Main Property folder.
  2. Is an image flagged as the main image (eye icon) at that level?
  3. Is the file in PNG, JPG, or BMP format?
  4. Is the comp flagged as NDA or Confidential in a way that restricts your access to the property section?
