How to Delete a Deal

00:05: Hello and welcome to your daily as delete deal.

00:07: Overview video in today's video.

00:09: I'll walk you through how to delete a deal and delius.

00:14: If you start by clicking on your deals tab, you can simply navigate to

00:18: the deal in question by searching for the specific deal.

00:21: And once you've found it, you're just simply going to click on the deal to

00:25: open it up. Once that deals profile has

00:29: been opened, you can start by clicking into the status drop-down

00:33: and changing the deal status to dead.

00:36: This is the first step in the deletion process, you'll also want to provide a

00:40: reason and if there's not a reason because we're proceeding to deletion, you can simply

00:44: just put in a period or any character to proceed with the safe.

00:48: And then you'll see, once that happens in the deal updates to a dead status, you'll

00:53: then find a red delete button will appear here as well.

00:56: So that finalizes, the delete option but it does need to register that

01:00: it's a dead deal first. Now, that that's happened.

01:03: We can simply click delete to proceed with that option.

01:07: It will give you a confirmation screen to make sure you want to go through with that.

01:11: And once you've done that, the deal itself will no longer exist in your database.

Only users with the appropriate permissions can delete deals. By default, Admins and Managing Brokers have this ability.

Important: A deal must be in Dead status before the Delete option becomes available. Deals in Active, Pending Close, or Closed status cannot be deleted.

Steps to delete a deal:

  1. Open the Deal Profile
  2. In the status dropdown, select Dead
  3. Enter a reason for marking the deal as dead (e.g. Duplicate, Lost, No Longer Pursuing)
  4. Click Save — the deal status updates to Dead
  5. A red Delete button will appear at the top of the Deal Profile
  6. Click Delete
  7. Confirm the deletion when prompted — "Are you sure you want to delete this deal?"
